HP5+ for N-1

Well I decided to finally test HP5 for N-1 as I am getting ready to go on a road trip and know I will need it. Ghost towns are on the horizon and with the building in the shadow and sunlight I know I will need to pull back a bit, not to mention I got nailed last week and had to pass on a scene. Bummer not being prepared! But now after this I will be good to go with HP5 with N-1, N, N+1, N+2. Arsenal is ready and loaded.

This was pretty lucky I tell you. I mixed HC110 at 1:45 and gave a development time of 5 mins. I think I nailed it.

My findings with it diluted at 1:45 at 68F (20C) for 5 minutes gave me the following readings.

Index 160
Zone 1 - .11
Zone 8 - 1.33

Close enough for me. I could back off dev time a bit but do not want to drop down in the four min range.

Maybe I could shave off a bit but I will fist develop some negs with this and see how they look.

Conclusion

Normal processing; 5 minute, E.I. 160 in HC110 with a 1:45 dilution at 68F (20C).

Ø All test were ran using a Jobo processor with a 5 minutes pre rinse and water stop bath.
