HP5+

Well I had to leave to work on the film and I am finally done, and believe me when I say this I am very very very glad to be done. This is what you call paying your dues! What just irks me to no end is the last box had EI of; N: 200, N+1:320, N+2:400 and now with this new box I get the following; N: 180 (will use 200), N+1:250, N+2:320.

This is the kind of madness that just irritates me to no end! Next time I buy sheet film, or any film for that matter I am buying in bulk. I am going to buy 4 or 5 boxes of 100 sheets next time as I have had enough of this; 26 sheets to re-test N, N+1 and N+2 just irritates me to no end. OK enough ranting?

Unfortunately, I forgot to write down the densities for N but I believe they were;

Zone 1 .10
Zone 8 1.25

Time 5 minutes 50 seconds.

For N + 1;

Zone 1 .09
Zone 8 1.26

Time 7 minutes 40 seconds, which is 2 minutes 50 seconds less than the last box.

For N+2;

Zone 1 .09
Zone 8 1.26

Time was 11 minutes; last box was 15 minutes, 4 minutes less time. Unreal. This has happened to the last 3 boxes of HP5+ I bought separately at different times. Before they restructured I could buy a box one month dial it in, buy another a month later and be in the same ballpark +/- seconds not minutes and the speed remained pretty much consistent will little variation.

Development Information;

Jobo with 5 minutes pre rinse
Water Stop
20C on the developer.

HC110 1:45 for all above.
